We care a lot about the individuals who make up the DealTrak family, which is why we’ve decided to give you the InsideTrak on a different member of the team each month – to learn more about what makes them tick.
In this instalment we’re finding out more about Kate Swinscoe, our marketing manager, who loves bringing her dog to work, and meeting all the other pooches which visit the HQ!
Summarise your role in one paragraph
I’m responsible for making sure people know about the great platform we have here at DealTrak! I coordinate our marketing strategy, campaigns, events and advertising – as well as developing content for our valued customers.
What’s the best part of your job?
Getting to work with every area of the business. DealTrak is a small, but growing, company which means that marketing can get to know – and learn from – every team member.
Which one word do you think your colleagues would use to describe you?
Outgoing.
And what word do you think best describes DealTrak?
Committed.
What’s been the most satisfying moment of your DealTrak career so far?
I’ve only been here four months, but I think the best thing for me has been implementing some processes into the sales and marketing teams, to ensure we’re laying the groundwork for future comms efforts. I’m a numbers girl at heart, so the more I can understand about our conversions, the happier I am!
What do you love about the DealTrak office?
I love being near water, so our Leeds Dock location – right beside the canal – is perfect for me. It’s so nice to be able to go out on a sunny day and follow it into the city centre.
Workplace wellbeing is something which is really important at DealTrak HQ, so what’s your favourite work perk?
Bringing my dog to work, of course – and meeting other people’s pooches too!
If one of your colleagues could win an award (industry or office-related) who would it be and why?
Kirstyn Thomas. The work ethic of that girl is ridiculous. I also really admire the way she controls discussions in a way that ensures actionable outcomes.
What are your hopes for DealTrak in the coming year?
The new platform is going to be really exciting. I’m so impressed with the work that’s been done by the development and user experience team already, so I can’t wait to see that continue to progress.
What is the biggest challenge facing the industry over the next 12 months?
It’s a boring answer, but I think it’s got to be Brexit, purely for the uncertainty factor.
